We always want some apps to be blocked from accessing the
internet so, today will be telling about simple methods to block certain apps
from accessing your internet in windows. There are various methods of blocking
outgoing traffic but they very much complex for novice users ,so ill share a
very simple method of blocking apps to access internet.
For this method you will need a simple app called TinyWall.
It includes a combination of
features that sets it apart from both commercial and freeware firewalls.
- It does not annoy you with popups at all, yet it
is still extremely easy to add exceptions to your firewall rules.
- It actively blocks hundreds of trojans, viruses and
worms.
- It does not require you to know about ports, protocols
and application details.
- It prevents malicious programs from modifying the
settings of Windows Firewall.
- It does not install drivers or other kernel components,
is free and lightweight.
So just download this app from here.
After installation, it will automatically start its services
.You can open it from the Taskbar
So after opening it click on manage.
Now select the Tab ‘Application Exceptions’.Then add the
apps you want to access the internet.
All the rest apps will be blocked from accessing the
internet.
If you want to block all from accessing the internet you can
also select the ‘Block all’ option of the TinyWall.
After you have finished selecting the apps which you want to
give access to internet just select the ‘Enable Block Lists option’ and then
all the outgoing connections except the rules which you made will be blocked.
That was pretty simple for such a common problem.Leave
